Hello everybody
This is my first blog, letting you all know where I'm up to with my training etc.
I'm now 4 weeks into my training for the Virgin London Marathon, which takes place on 25th April.
I have 11 more weeks to go, yet I already feel sick of running. God only knows how I am going to keep this up.
The weather hasn't helped as I have had to do most of my training on the treadmill, which is very boring.
The training I have completed so far is:
Week 1: 11 miles
Week 2: 12 miles plus some sprint work on the treadmill
Week 3: 25 miles, which included a 10 miler. I also did a spinning class.
Week 4: 25 miles, which included a 12 miler in 1hr 59mins on the treadmill, which was mentally testing.
I have felt a little bit drained this week and a little sick. I may have just been overdoing it a bit, but both my boys have been ill this week, so I may have caught something off them.
I have got to keep increasing my mileage each week, so I've got to keep going and stay positive.
It will be easier to motivate myself once the weather picks up and I can hit the roads!
I'll try to keep you up to date with whats happening.
