Local St Helens Business George Wright Brewery are the latest company to get behind the Solar King Pride of St Helens Awards. They have produced the Pride of St Helens Celebration Ale which is a pale summer ale. This Celebration Ale will be sold in 15 public houses throughout St Helens and hopefully more Public Houses in the St Helens Area will also join in. George Wright Brewery have generously agreed that 10p from every pint sold will go to The Steve Prescott Foundation. Shaun Burrows representative from George Wrights Brewery said “We are elated to be able to play our part in the inaugural Pride of S Helens Awards. It is a great concept, one we at George Wrights fully endorse! Steve came down and gave the Celebration Ale his seal of approval and we are looking forward to him helping us make the second batch in a few weeks time.”

George Wrights is a member of the SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers) scheme. This allows a lot of pubs tied to large pub companies to buy a local beer. If any Landlord in St Helens are part of the SIBA scheme, then they can purchase the Pride of St Helens Ale through the scheme.

Steve Prescott said “This initiative is incredible, it will not only raise funds for the SPF but also raise awareness of the Awards Evening. George Wrights have supported Saints players Paul Wellens & Mike Bennett in their testimonial seasons, I am so pleased that they have stepped forward to support the Pride of St Helens”

Around 1400 bottles of the Pride of St Helens Celebration Ale will also be produced and this can be sold in off licences around St Helens.
