Steve White Regional Operations Manager

I had known Steve for many years since we were kids, and like everyone was shocked to hear of Steve's illness. After meeting up with Martin Blondel shortly after the fund-raising started I immediately wanted to get involved and do whatever was needed to help out. I work for a national readymix supplier Bardon Concrete and as part of our Community Engagement plan there was a great opportunity to get the business involved from the start.
 
Bardon Concrete became one of the partner sponsors of the foundation and has been involved in all the events that have taken place to date. I am able to include some of the foundation work in my current role as Regional Operations Manager. I took part in six days of the first 200 mile walk to Old Trafford in 2007 and completed the full 250 mile "Long Walk Home" to Old Trafford in 2008 (apart from the day spent in walk in centre with blisters ..........).
In 2009 I took part in the Carnegie Challenge and completed 8 consecutive days cycling and the 24 mile dragon boat ride up the River Thames. Other days on the challenge where spent support driving.
This year 6 Bardon Concrete Employees are attempting to ride from Lands End to John O'Groats further establishing Bardon's Concrete's Committment to this great Charity.
Gary Brennand a Area Operations Manager from Bardon Concrete is a committee member and Peter Hardman - General Manager is Honoury President of the foundation.

 It has been a great opportunity for a Company like Bardon Concrete to be able to be so involved with such a fantastic foundation supporting two great causes The Christie & Try Assist and led by the inspiration that is Steve Prescott !!
