Our world record breakers are now on their way!

The Spectrum Kilimanjaro team set off this morning from Manchester airport in great spirits. They will travel via Istanbul and reach Tanzania early tomorrow morning. Their mission is to climb Mt Kilimanjaro and play a full game of rugby league and set a world record in the process.

On departure Lee Briers said, 'It's exciting. Its a fantastic team with lots of characters. Neil Harmon has turned up in a blond wig!  It's going to be unbelievable, it's going to be fun, its going to be a challenge. Steve would have been in his element had he been here. We will certainly be thinking of him on the journey.'

Adrian Morley said he's feeling good. He went on to say, 'It's a mixture of excited, apprehension and nervous. The team spirit is great. It's going to be a tough challenge but very worthwhile and the camaraderie is fantastic. I think the game will be competitive. it just depends how we last without oxygen.'
