Time to Say Thanks 👏👏👏

The Steve Prescott Foundation has been a registered charity since it’s inception in 2007 and has always relied on the amazing support of our volunteers to raise funds and awareness for our chosen charities, The Christie and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund.

Like most charities we have cancelled most of our planned events and challenges for later this year and have needed to look at other ways to help our local community. In times of crisis volunteers step up to offer their help – whether it be practical hands on help or by fundraising by taking on a challenge or an event.

The Covid 19 pandemic has highlighted the amazing support of our volunteers when the Eccleston Arms Bar & Grill Essential items with Blackbrook ARLFC project was started. When the call for help went out there was an immediate response and an army of volunteers was recruited to deliver essential items and to handle the phone requests in support of keeping St Helens and surrounding areas Coronavirus free and for the public to #StaySafeStayHome.

There have also been innovative fundraising events like Johnny Vegas distancing hair cut by Paul Sculthorpe. Nearly 100 people volunteered to take part in the Lejog 2020 Run by running 10k and raising over £13k in the process.
