Who will be crowned the SPF King of the Jungle?
To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Steve Prescott Foundation, one of the charity’s most memorable and entertaining challenges is making a spectacular return – I’m A Precky Fan… Get Me Out of Here!
The original event was first staged in 2017, when 12 fantastic supporters of the Steve Prescott Foundation headed into the remote woods of Burwardsley to battle it out to become the very first SPF King of the Jungle.
After a weekend of challenges and Bushtucker Trials, the inaugural crown was lifted by none other than SPF General Manager Martin Blondel. While Martin’s lack of agility may not have served him particularly well during some of the physical challenges, his extraordinary ability to tackle the Bushtucker Trials ultimately carried him to victory!
The event returned in 2019, producing a tremendous battle between Oulton Raiders’ Gary Smith and great SPF supporter Peter Outten.
It all came down to an unforgettable cockroach tie-breaker. After what seemed like an endless supply of cockroaches had been consumed, Gary Smith eventually prevailed, taking the coveted SPF King of the Jungle crown back over the Pennines.
Now, as the Steve Prescott Foundation celebrates its landmark 20th Anniversary, old and new supporters are being invited to enter the jungle once again.
And could we even see a Clash of the Champions?
SPF KING OF THE JUNGLE 2026
The 2026 challenge will take place at an exciting new location in the Lake District, with the exact jungle venue remaining a closely guarded secret!
The weekend will be organised by Innes McDonald, a long-standing friend and supporter of the Steve Prescott Foundation who has previously assisted with SPF events including the Taylor Park Challenge and Johnny Vegas Celebrity Bowls.
The challenge will take place from 23rd–25th April 2026 and promises to be a FUN-packed weekend featuring Bushtucker Trials, games and challenges inspired by the smash-hit TV show.
Every participant will receive:

* A weekend packed with challenges, entertainment and unforgettable SPF memories
* The opportunity to battle for the ultimate prize – the title of SPF King of the Jungle 2026
WANT TO ENTER THE JUNGLE?
Participants are required to pay a £50 deposit to secure their place and commit to raising a further £750 for the Steve Prescott Foundation.
Places will be limited, so anyone brave enough to take on the Bushtucker Trials and fight for the crown is encouraged to register early.
